We're back from the best vacation! So many memories were made, and my niece got to see the ocean for the first time! The weather was PERFECT the whole week! We were a little nervous about what each day would look like, because the forecast had a chance of thunderstorms every day! But it only stormed 1 afternoon, which made for perfect blue skies the whole week, just a little on the hot side!
Each couple took a night to cook for everyone. My parents cooked a wonderful roast with mashed potatoes, english peas and sister shubert rolls! Ashley and Daniel cooked a yummy mexican lasagna dish (I think that's what they called it!) which was amazing!! The "lasagna" part are actually wheat tortillas! Matt and I cooked our favorite pasta dish with homemade tomato sauce, caesar salad, and SS rolls. Each meal was so good, and we got some good recipes out of it!
It was so nice to sit back, relax, not have a "to do" list, and just open the back door to hear the waves. It was also a beautiful noise when Kaley was "talking" to us. She has definitely found her voice and LOVES to use it! She sounded like a little seagull when she was on the beach, hehe.
I'm so sad the week went by so fast! But I am hopeful we will have many more of these vacations in the future!
