Happy New Year! Boy, am I behind on updating this blog. Our NYE was filled with family, games and food! We spent the evening with Matt's family, and played the Wii for hours, and ate like we didn't eat a single thing during the holidays. After we rang in the new year, Matt and I drove home, and I went straight to bed (I am clearly not a night owl!) For New Years day, which didn't get started till noon when we woke up, we tried to eat at Cracker Barrel, one of MY faves, but Matt can't stand it, can you believe that?! Anyways, we got there around 1:30 thinking the rush crowd will be gone.... WRONG! Everyone else was like us and didn't start their day till noon. So we left, with a frown on my face. But no worries, we had it for lunch the next day! :)
The first week back at work has crawled by for me! My body got so used to short work weeks, or no work weeks (like the week in New York!). Matt has been taking a Winter Term class this week, from 8-5 every day, so we're both beat.
But there is much excitement coming my way! For my sister's birthday, which was January 5, she wanted for me to come visit them! That's what she wanted for her present, and I couldn't be more excited!! Her husband will be on a business trip, so it will be just us girls for 4 days! I leave next weekend, and can't WAIT to see my sister and niece! We missed seeing them over Christmas, so this is exactly what I need right now :)
