What a fun weekend! Friday morning Matt told me he was going to plan a nice date for us that evening and it was going to be a surprise. I love surprises, so I was so excited! When I got home from work, I was surprised with the Christmas tree already up!! He had promised me we would put it up Saturday morning, but he knew I was too giddy about it that he went ahead and put it up! After I calmed down, he said he was taking me to downtown Dallas, but we would need to bring my gift card...
***flash back a few days***
Our apartment complex was having an ongoing bingo game, where they post a number every day on their facebook page till someone won... well guess who won? ME! And I won a $50 visa card!! Matt said I could spend it on whatever I wanted too!
***back to story***
So my first reaction was "what!! But you said I could spend it on whatever.." and he stopped me and said, "because I'm taking you to your favorite stores so you can go shopping!" I flipped out!!! Not only did we go have a nice dinner, he also took me shopping!! Without me begging! I ended up only getting one top, but a good story behind it! My favorite store is Ann Taylor Loft, and they just so happened to have a 30% off sale going on, on anything in the store! So, being Miss Frugal, I go straight to the clearance rack. I found the cutest top, one that I had been eyeing for a while, but I didn't want to pay $40 for it (I know..I know). Well there it was, on sale for $10!!! I grab it and go check out. It actually rung up as $7 and then she added the 30% off and I paid FIVE DOLLARS for the normal $40 top! Love it!!!
When we got home we went straight to decorating the tree and apartment. Of course all while listening to Christmas music!
