We woke up to ice all over the roadways, and we were excited about the "snow" day! We spent most of the day cleaning out the pantry, fridge, freezer, dusting in detail everything in the second bedroom and then watched movies and napped!
We then realized it was not getting above freezing and nothing was melting.
Snow Day #2 - February 2
YAY another day off... I think. The ice was worse on this day, and we had a good view out of living room window of people trying to make it up a slight hill and not making it. One truck came less than an inch of slamming into 2 parked cars.
Matt cleaned the bedroom in detail and even got rid of some clothes. I was pretty lazy on this day and pretty much sat on the couch all day.
Snow Day #3 - February 3
Oooook. The first 2 days were cool, but we are now running out of food and we are starting to have conversations like this:
Me: I'm going to go clip my toenails.
Matt: I will lint roll all the lamp shades.
TV is now boring to us.
Snow Day #4 - February 4
This is the only true SNOW day we had this week! The weather man forecasted a dusting of snow. We got 5 inches instead! I was a little school girl! I ran outside at 7am and took pictures, and then forgot there is still ice under all the snow and busted my rear end hard on the ground! Hopefully everyone else was still sleeping and didn't witness that embarrassing moment!
I've actually enjoyed this unexpected winter break and i'm so glad we finally got this apartment looking good again!
