Our Easter weekend has been a BUSY one, but one that I will never forget.
On April 20, Matt's grandfather, James Thomas, went to be with the Lord after a 3 year battle with ALS. He was a great man of God, and will be deeply missed. The family is at peace though, because we know where he is and that he no longer is in any pain.
Good Friday was a little hard on everyone, especially my MIL, since it was her birthday and we had her dad's visitation that night. The funeral was yesterday, and it was a beautiful service. One that would make Granddad very happy!
Then today, Easter, we celebrated at our church with my sister, her husband, his parents and brother and Kaley! I was so excited when my sister told me they were coming to our church! It was an AMAZING service too! The music was top notch with a string quartet and trumpets! Gave me chills, I so wish I had a video of that.
Like I said earlier, this will be an Easter I will never forget. For now, Matt and I are exhausted and need a vacation ASAP....maybe in July! *crosses fingers*
Happy Easter everyone! Remember the real reason of this holiday... that our Savior is NOT dead, He is risen and is coming back!
