First off, I changed the look of the blog! I went ahead and made the Christmas layout because I couldn't hold in my holiday cheer anymore! :) This is a picture of us from last year while we were in NYC. I will probably update it with a recent picture when we get around to taking our holiday picture.
We are inching our way closer and closer to the THIRD trimester!! Seriously, where is the time going?! If it's going this fast and he's not even here, I don't want to think about how fast it will fly by when he comes! I feel like we're going to blink and he'll be starting kindergarten...and college...and getting married. Ugh, I need to stop thinking about that!
So back to reality, his see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque and it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. (BTW I get all this info from thebump.com and babycenter.com)
Size of baby: an ear of corn (almost a foot! He gained about 4 ounces since last week, so a little over a pound.)
Total weight gain: 12-13 pounds
Maternity Clothes: All the time for the pants, off and on with the maternity tops.
Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James
Movement: All the time and still loving it! This week I started playing Baby Einstein music to my stomach and he loves music! Every time I play it, he will kick and roll around. I'm starting a routine by ending every music session with the Lullaby song. It puts him to sleep every time, because the kicks and rolls stop. I hope he takes routines this easily outside of the womb!
Sleep: It got a lot better this week! Thank goodness :)
Anything you miss? nope!
Cravings? Nope, i'm having a hard time finding something I want to eat. It's pretty annoying lol. BUT I will say I am craving everything we have at Thanksgiving!!! I can't wait!
Symptoms: Back pains and the stomach tightening. My belly is so hard and i'm starting to worry how it will keep stretching! (*knock on wood* I don't have any stretch marks though....yet. I will start applying stretch cream soon though to try to prevent them from happening.)
Any fears? They've gone down a little this week, but I still get little bursts of fear. Finance worrying got the best of me this week, but I know God is in control.
Best moment of the week: We finally registered!! (if you're curious: babies r us, buybuybaby, pottery barn kids) I feel like we registered for hours and hours and scanned way too much, but I have no doubt we forgot stuff. Thankfully we can add and take away by using their websites!
