I am 22 weeks!! We are more than halfway through with the 2nd trimester and Caleb is growing everyday it seems! This week I have noticed that it is getting harder to bend over and getting off the couch is a little harder these days. I'm pretty much getting a good idea of what I will feel like when i'm 90 years old. :)
This week Caleb looks like a miniature baby, meaning his eyes, nose, lips, eyebrows etc. have all developed and he is just packing on the pounds now to fill out. He is also starting to sleep in cycles and is sleeping around 12-14 hours a day! (Wouldn't that be nice!) I am very happy because I think most of that time is during the night! I don't feel any kicks during the night, I feel most of them during the day. Keep it up Caleb!!
Size of baby: papaya (during month five, the average fetus measures about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces. So around a pound!!)
Total weight gain: Probably a little over 10 pounds now. I'm still just letting the doctor do all the weighing.
Maternity Clothes: All the time for the pants, off and on with the maternity tops.
Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James
Movement: All the time and still loving it! I can definitely tell when his back is to my stomach because he uses my organs as a punching bag. It feels SUPER weird and sometimes uncomfortable haha. I forgot to mention this, but last week Matt got to feel a GOOD kick! When he felt it his jaw dropped and he took his hand away quickly lol! I think it startled him a little bit but afterwards he said "that was my son! So cool!" I'm so glad he can now share these kicks with me.
Sleep: I'm sleeping MUCH better with the pregnancy pillow!
Anything you miss? bending over and getting off the couch easily lol
Cravings? Didn't have many this week.
Symptoms: Still having some round ligament pains and I think I am having some braxton hicks contractions. I'm not totally sure, but my stomach will get hard as a rock for a little bit and then it will stop. No pain, it just feels weird.
Any fears? Still the normal fears, but I know once it's all over it will be so worth!
Best moment of the week: We got a few nursery items and gifts from friends in the mail this week! We got the elephant rug and daybed bedding for the nursery, and my sweet friend from NC sent us 2 cute outfits for Caleb!
