On May 4, 2010 at 8:51pm, our beautiful niece entered the world! She is a healthy little girl weighing in at 7lb, 14oz and 21 inches long!
It was an eventful day and night! Daniel (her dad) kept us updated through text messages letting us know the progress:
From Ashley:
11:01 AM: Some contractions have started...not yet to the stage where we go to the hopsital but at least the process has started
12:36 PM: ...the contrations are getting stronger...ouch!
12:45 PM: ...contractions are still about 6-8 minutes apart...
From Daniel:
3:45 PM: At the hospital. Ashley is doing great. Contractions 4 minutes apart.
5:50 PM: Could be anytime now. Making great progress. 8cm.
At 9:41 pm we get a call from Daniel and Ashley saying miss Kaley Abigail is here!
Ashley and Kaley are doing great! Ashley joined the "gave birth without ANY form of drugs what-so-ever" club, and I couldn't be a more proud little sister (and aunt!!!)!
I cried, I laughed, cried more into Matt's shoulder throughout the evening, hating the thought of my sister in such pain, but the little bundle of joy is absolutely breathtaking and beautiful.
In 9 days, my parents and I will be going up to Illinois to visit them! I wish SO badly Matt could come with us, but at the time we didn't know if he would have classes or not. He will meet her in July on our big family beach vacation!
Love this! You may want to change the AM to PM on the 12:36 and 12:45 since it was afternoon ;) Luckily they didnt' have to go through the midnight hours.
