21 weeks

It feels good to be in the 20's now! I kind of feel like i'm out of the "newlywed" stage of pregnancy. That's a weird way of saying it, I know, but in my head it sounds completely normal! It's been a good week for Caleb and I, he is still kicking up a storm and I am feeling pretty good too. I don't think i'm going to get that burst of energy that most women talk about during this stage. I wasn't a high energy person before getting pregnant, and work is beating me up right now that I come home exhausted and wanting to just veg out on the couch.

This week Caleb's digestive system continues to develop and he is starting to swallow amniotic fluid and absorb small amounts of sugar. But most of his nutrients are still coming from the placenta.

Size of baby: banana (10.5 inches and 12.7 ounces)

Total weight gain: Probably a little over 10 pounds now. I'm still just letting the doctor do all the weighing.

Maternity Clothes: All the time for the pants, off and on with the maternity tops.

Movement: All the time! I'm loving it :) I think Wednesday night was when he was kicking the hardest (probably because I went to church with Matt and we didn't get home till 9 and we still hadn't had dinner!!!) So i'm thinking those were "mad Caleb kicks." haha

Sleep: It's been a struggle this week. I blame it on late night World Series games and stress from a busy work week. Wednesday night I think I slept 10 minutes each hour. It was pathetic haha.

Anything you miss? Nope!

Cravings? This week was brownies! mmmm!

Symptoms: Having more pressure in my belly, and more round ligament pains.

Any fears? I think it really hit me this week that we ARE HAVING A BABY! I think it's all the visible changes and knowing we only have like 4 months left! I have freak out moments where I think "I can't do this. I can't do this." But I know God will hold my hand through the whole thing. To say I am terrified of labor is an understatement!

Best moment of the week: We picked out the crib, and daybed bedding! We still haven't bought anything yet though, we are waiting until Thanksgiving (all those sales!!) to order any furniture. I can't WAIT to see how it all turns out!! I'm tired of looking at a bare room haha
