"Howdy Folks" from the State Fair of Texas!!
Seriously...how are we already at 19 weeks?! I can't believe next week will be the half way mark!!! I am feeling TONS better from last week, still dealing with a nasty cough but i'll take this over drowning in my own snot.
Some really exciting things have happened this week! We officially got switched over to the new doctor's office (so I can keep seeing my same doctor) and it is SO much closer to us than the last office. It is only 10 minutes away! It is also connected to the hospital, which is very convenient. We went ahead and registered with the hospital, so that makes me feel much better. Now that we have registered, we can start signing up for free classes at the hospital. We also scheduled a hospital tour for next week, which I am really looking forward to!! I've heard that the rooms are like really nice hotel rooms that have a "man cave" attached with a couch and big flat screen tv. Matt will LOVE that! haha!
This week Caleb's senses are really starting to develop in his brain, and he is also developing a protective coating over his skin, called vernix caseosa. We will probably see a little on this still on his skin when he is born.
Size of baby: mango (6 inches and 8.5 ounces)
Total weight gain: Still hovering around 10 pounds.
Maternity Clothes: Yep! I am still enjoying the comfort of maternity clothes, although I am sure I will reach a point where I miss zipping up pants haha.
Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James
Movement: Every morning and most nights, i'm loving it! I am also starting to feel "swimming" movements.
Sleep: It's pretty good, a few nights last week I started having leg cramps (charlie horses) and those aren't fun, but they don't last too long.
Anything you miss? nope
Cravings? Still not having any lately
Symptoms: I'm starting to get slight hip pain, but I think it was because I walked a little too long the other night haha. I am so out of shape it's not funny! Also i'm feeling more pressure in my belly.
Any fears? This week it really hit me that he is growing QUICK and labor is right around the corner it seems like. Still terrified of that, but thankful for modern medicine, and praying it will do it's job when I need it!
Best moment of the week: Getting registered at the hospital! It makes it so much more real now!
