...because he cleans up after my messes without complaining.
...because he will go way out of the way to buy me dinner across town during a World Series game because I didn't feel like cooking.
...because he moved my entire computer desk, computer, printer, lamp and chair to the sunroom by himself while I was sleeping one night because it was next to Jade's litter (which smells bad and I'm not allowed to be near it till Caleb comes).
...because he gets excited about every doctor's visit I have, and goes with me to every single one because he is so in love with our son already!
...because he thought about bringing a DVD (even 2 in case one didn't work) to our gender reveal ultrasound so we would have video of it. (which is the best movie we own now!)
...because he skipped all of his Monday classes to help me at a Golf Tournament on Monday (12 hour day!!) because I was stressing to the point of tears about how I wasn't going to make it through that day while being pregnant.
...because he prays for Caleb every single morning and every single night.
...because he works 2 jobs and is still going to seminary so we will have enough money for when Caleb comes. And I have never heard him complain, not even once.
...because he lets me watch my girly shows...like 19 Kids and Counting and Dance Moms.
...because he will take a million belly shots at once so I can pick which one I like, making sure my hair doesn't look weird or that I don't have a goofy smile.
...because he loves the Lord with all his heart and wants to do nothing else but minister to people for a living!
I could keep going, but if he ever reads this he will be so embarrassed and mortified!! But lately, with all these crazy hormones, I haven't been treating him the way he deserves, and I hate that. Caleb is THE luckiest little boy to have Matt as his daddy. I can't wait to see them interact and play together, it will melt my heart!
Just want you to know that I can barely type this because of the tears in my eyes. That is the most precious tribute I think I've ever read in my life. And, just to be clear......you're pretty awesome, too :)))) Love you!
ReplyDeleteYou are both very lucky to have each other. You are going to raise an incredible son and he doesn't know what he's been blessed with but when he finds out he's gonna be the happiest baby on the block :)
