I know I always start off the same way each week: shocked at how fast the time has gone by, and nothing has changed haha! I can't believe we are 4 weeks away from our little boy's arrival! We are both SO excited and SO nervous about the unknowns. We know it will be a challenging time, but at the same time it will also be the best days of our lives, and we can't wait to experience that!
We knocked out a lot on the big to-do list and i'm feeling so much better about things. He could come right now, and we would be totally ready for him (daddy and momma just won't have any food to eat..ha!) His clothes are washed, his sheets are clean, his changing pad is ready for his dirty booty...yep, we are ready! haha :)
So at my last doctor's appointment they tested me for Group B Strep, which is a normal test they do for all pregnancies. Apparently you could have it and never know, but it can be harmful to the baby during delivery if you have it. I got a call from my nurse this week and mine came back negative, so we are good to go with delivery! I'm not sure what would happen if it came back positive, but I think I would've just had to get a shot before the birth. So, nothing terrible! She also wanted to get my blood taken to make sure the belly rash was indeed PUPPPs and not something more serious. I'm thankful that my doctor is very thorough, but I am a hypochondriac and worry about EVERYTHING (even though I was positive it was PUPPPs). So when she showed concern, it freaked me out! Anyways, that test also came back negative! So I just have to live with this awful itchy rash till he is born. No bueno.
Side note: If you are reading this and maybe have this rash, or have any type of rash right now, I did a LOT of research and found that a ton of pregnant women swear by this soap called 'Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap'. I was desperate for relief, so I went out to Sprouts and bought some. Y'all, it's WORKING! If it can help this rash (that honestly no anti-itch cream can help) then it can help any skin rash! Just try to ignore the smell....our bathroom now smells like a nasty old cabin in the woods.
Caleb is gaining an ounce a day, and he is shedding most of the waxy substance that has covered his body for most of the pregnancy. At the end of this week, he will be considered full-term!
Size of baby: a crenshaw melon (???) (almost 6 pounds and over 18 inches long.)
Total weight gain: Anywhere between 25-28 pounds
Maternity Clothes: All the time for work clothes, but i'm still able to wear my normal PJ's (although they are getting a little snug now!)
Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James
Movement: still moving around all the time!
Sleep: love it when I can get it!
Anything you miss? feeling "normal" lol
Cravings? pasta, french fries, and hamburgers still
Symptoms: back pain, exhaustion and this darn belly rash!
Any fears? not knowing when or where I will be when I go into labor....ahh!
Best moment of the week: Getting all his clothes washed and put away!
