Oh my goodness, we are SO CLOSE!!! It still feels so far away though, because of all the unknowns. I am surprisingly still feeling pretty good, other than being extremely exhausted (and by extreme, I mean it feels like I have taken 5 sleeping pills all at once. I can't function after 8pm!)
We had a great doctor's appointment on Thursday! I knew I was going to be checked for dilation at this appointment, so I was super nervous that she would say I haven't progressed at all. I was fully expecting that because i've had zero contractions. To my surprise (and Matt's) I am almost 2cm dilated and 50% effaced! Way to go body!! She also touched his head, which is so amazing! She said he is still a little high, but close enough for her to feel him. So cool. The next appointment is March 1, which I'm pretty sure is our last appointment as well. Wow!
Update on the belly rash (PUPPPs): It is almost completely gone!! I have zero itching and my skin has never been so soft, thanks to the pine tar soap! You can still see very light red flat bumps, but you really have to look for them. I'm just glad they are flat now and doesn't look like an awful poison ivy outbreak anymore! My doctor is so amazed at how it looks that she is wondering if it really was PUPPPs after all. I still think it is...because it will start itching again if I don't use the soap daily (and twice a day at that).
Size of baby: here we go...what we've all been waiting for......a watermelon! (nearly 7 pounds and over 19 inches long.)
Total weight gain: Anywhere between 28-30 pounds. I didn't gain any since the last appointment, even though I am eating like a man!
Maternity Clothes: All the time for work clothes, but i'm still able to wear my normal PJ's and college t-shirts (although they are getting a little snug now!)
Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James
Movement: still moving around all the time! I had a freak out moment on Tuesday because his moves felt slower and "whimpy" and I immediately thought he was under stress. So I called my doctor and was reassured that any movement is good movement. She told me to sit and relax for an hour and do a kick count to make sure he is moving at least 4 times in an hour. Well, of course right after I got off the phone and started logging kicks/movement, he moved over 10 times in 7 minutes! So he is fine, just running out of room in there! haha
Sleep: love it when I can get it! I am starting to deal with a little insomnia, which stinks!
Anything you miss? feeling "normal" lol
Cravings? basically anything ha!
Symptoms: exhaustion, bending over is out of the question now, and pressure from his big moves.
Any fears? to be completely honest, my biggest fear right now is that he will come on Leap Day. Please pray that day will come and go and he will still be inside me!!! I want a March baby :)
Best moment of the week: Finding out we are progressing and I had no pain in getting to this point! I see it as getting 2 freebies :)
