Wow, time is flying by now that we announced the news! I really feel like we just told everybody...yesterday! I'm ready to have an actual bump, and get out of this pudgy bloating stage haha. Funny story about the top I'm wearing in this picture. I bought it about 3 or 4 years ago at American Eagle. I thought it was cute in the dressing room, so I got it. But then every time I wore it I felt pregnant. So I put it back in my closet and didn't wear it ever again. Until now! It fits perfect now and I love it!
I'm still feeling pretty good. The nausea has returned, and if I don't eat something every 2 hours (or less!) then I feel awful. I haven't thrown up anymore, just gagging and such. I hate throwing up more than going to the dentist, so I am constantly stuffing my face! I am also dealing with pretty bad ocular migraines. I would get these before being pregnant, but now they are 10 times worse. I had one that affected my vision for close to 3 hours (before pregnancy they would last up to 35 minutes). Most of the time they are followed by an awful headache, but the ones I've had lately just affect my vision. Which make it impossible for me to work. For those who don't suffer from these, it feels like you just looked at the sun directly spot on for 5 minutes and have a blind spot. It's pretty bad!
I had my first late night craving last week! It was around 9:40 and I had an instant craving for tots and ketchup. So we got in the car and drove to Sonic. Those were the best tots I've ever had!
This week our little one is the size of a plum! The features on our baby's face are becoming more defined and the eyes have moved towards the front of the face. The fingernails are also well formed and our baby will soon be able to open and close it's hands.
We have our 3rd appointment this coming Thursday on September 1. We can't wait to hear the heartbeat again and if I remember, I am going to record video of her checking the heartbeat. It's too amazing not to share!
So excited for you guys! I totally understand your funny story about the shirt. I had a dress that I bought a long time ago and always thought I looked pregnant in it. It became one of my favorite "maternity" dresses. Can't wait to read all about your fun journey.
