First week in photos

Instead of writing a long post of his first week (we have no time for that!) here is a summary of his first week in bullet points and photos...

- Caleb is the best baby! He is incredibly laid back and chill. He really only cries (whimpers really) when he is hungry, getting a diaper change, and when we change his clothes (if it requires us putting it over his head). He is a GREAT sleeper, and we hope that continues :)

- Caleb can hold his paci to his face so he doesn't lose it. We are so impressed!

- One night this week when we checked on him he had rolled to his side. It made me nervous, even though I know he can't roll to his stomach yet...just knowing that he made it halfway freaked me out.

- He LOVES music! If he is fussy, i'll sing "Jesus Loves Me" and he will instantly stop crying and will look up at me with wide eyes.

- He is a tiny little guy. Newborn clothes are still a little big on him, but I think it's the cutest thing. I want him to stay little for as long as possible!

- When we left the hospital on Saturday, his weight had dropped to 6lbs 11oz. When we went to his first doctors appointment on Monday he was up to 6lbs 13oz, which his doctor said is right on target.

He did not enjoy his first bath until we washed his hair! He LOVED having his hair washed, and still does to this day.


When he came home from the hospital, he was a little jaundice so we kept him by the window during the days so he could soak up the sun. He really enjoyed it :)

We know he can't see much right now, but he really does love this ducky! He will swing at it with his hand and just stare at it like it's crazy.

Caleb had a great first week and we look forward to all the fun times we have ahead! We love him so much and can't imagine our lives without him!
