It started out with all of us sleeping in—yes, all of us! Caleb is our alarm clock these days, and he didn't make a peep till 8am! He was so precious and was giving us BIG smiles when we went to get him. Matt got ready for the day while I fed Caleb, and then I got ready while Matt burped him. We then got Caleb ready and were out the door to go to BuyBuyBaby and Carter's. We bought him a "fish tank" for his crib since tonight will be his first night to sleep in it. I've been dreading (well not dreading, just not looking forward to it) moving him into his room. But he's now 10 weeks old, not vomiting anymore, and is ready to make the switch. To get him introduced to his new room, we let him take his afternoon nap in the crib today. He LOVED it!! He got a real kick out of his elephant mobile! He was talking to it and smiling like crazy. 15 minutes of chatting with the elephants, and he was asleep. Holy cow. I was I shocked! It usually takes him 45 minutes to fall asleep on his own so this was a record.
The nap didn't last too long because we didn't know the cat was in the room when we shut the doors. We were folding laundry when we heard a "meow" over the monitor. We looked at the video monitor and all we see is this huge furry blob covering the camera! Matt ran into Caleb's room and quickly got the cat out of the crib! Jade was about to snuggle up at Caleb's feet for her nap too. With all the commotion, Caleb woke up a few minutes later. Oh well, at least we know he feels comfortable in his room and should do fine tonight.
Then to end our fun Saturday, we had our first family movie night! We moved the coffee table, laid out a big blanket in the living room, had Pei Wei, cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory and watched The Vow. We watched the whole movie with no interruptions. HA! I wish. Ten minutes into the movie Caleb had a massive poop so we had to pause it to clean him up. Then he decided he wanted to talk through the movie (we gave him a quick lesson on why you don't talk during movies hehe) and he ended up sleeping on Matt's chest for the rest of the movie.
This was the perfect Saturday and I can't wait to have many more Saturday's like this with my little family!
