I went back into the office last week, but I went back as a part time employee. You are staying with Aunt Ashley (and cousin Kaley) on Tuesdays and you are staying with Mimi and Pappy (Matt's parents) on Thursdays. You seem to be having a great time with the good reports I am getting from them! Keep it up sweet boy!
I did the poor man's way of weighing you the other day—weighing myself alone, and then holding you. Much to my surprise, there was a whopping 13 pound difference!! I was so shocked I did it a second time. It showed 13 pounds both times. I can't believe you grew that much in a month!
You are now wearing size 1 diapers and size 3m clothes. Some are still big on you, and some are getting too tight (like your footed pjs).
You are now eating 4 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day. We decided to stop giving you the late night feeding a few weeks ago because you kept falling asleep during them.
Since we got rid of your late night feeding, you are now sleeping from 8:30pm-7am! Some nights you sleep more, some less, but we are really enjoying our full nights rest now! You are also sleeping in your own room now in your big boy crib. We think you like your crib better than the pack n play because you sleep so much better now. You also LOVE your elephant mobile. Your bedtime routine is: bath time, story time, eat, pray, sleep.
You take two 1.5 to 2 hour naps a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. You really fight them at the beginning, but you will lay there wide eyed till you get bored enough to fall asleep.
You move a LOT in your sleep! The other night we laid you down horizontal in your crib, and when you woke up you were vertical! Silly boy.
You hate tummy time. Like, really hate it. You only like it if you are laying on a pillow, but when we take the pillow away so you can learn to roll, you scream your little head off. When I roll you over from tummy to back you get this scared looked as if a ghost is in the room. You will roll eventually....just not anytime soon!
You can grab your toys, but you seem kind of shy about it. You will slowly reach over, touch it, sometimes even pick it up, then you put it back down or take your hand away. It's almost like you think you will get in trouble for touching it haha. We are trying to show you that it's ok to hit that swinging pig above your head (on his play mat).
Your new favorite thing to do now is lick your hand. It's so funny to watch you do this, it's as if your hand is a lollipop.
Your love to have conversations with your monkey toy that dangles from your car seat. We will be driving down the road and hear you "talking" to it. It's so cute! Sometimes the monkey says mean things to you because you show your mad face to it and then babble :)
You live in a bib these days. You are drooling like nobodies business! When you get excited your mouth turns into a faucet. We don't know if these are beginning signs of teething or what, but it sure is upping the load of laundry, that's for sure!
You are the sweetest little boy and we love you so much! Like always,
we can't wait to see what this new month has in store for you!
