The drive to Longview went really smooth, with just one stop to feed Caleb! I'm so glad we didn't have any poop fiasco's. We stopped in Terrell at my favorite orchard, Ham's. They have THE best strawberry ice cream, hands down. While I was Miss Piggy eating my ice cream, Matt fed Caleb. The orchard is right next to a railroad and every time we are there a train will come by, it never fails. Also, the only place to sit is outside—next to the train tracks. We began feeding him outside and within 10 minutes of us being outside the train came. We rushed inside so the noise wouldn't hurt Caleb's ears.
We were quickly back on the road and made it to the hotel in good time. My parents were already at the hotel, so they took Caleb for us while we unloaded
My parents took this picture of him while they were watching him. He had so much fun! |
Caleb did amazing through the night, and woke up in such a happy mood! Here is a short video of him and some pictures shortly after he woke up. (I forgot to bring my camera, sorry for all the iphone pics)
After we fed Caleb, we met up with my parents in the lobby to eat our breakfast. Caleb enjoyed looking at everyone there, the boy never meets a stranger!

After breakfast Matt took me over to the church where all the girls met to get ready for the wedding. Caleb came along for the ride (my mom had a terrible rash that was spreading, so my dad took her to an urgent care clinic) and I received a text from Matt saying that Caleb had the biggest poop blowout to date (all up the back and out the legs...basically none made it in the diaper) and that when he was changing the diaper in the hotel room he lowered the health code rating. Good job, Caleb. Good job.
The wedding was beautiful and i've never seen my best friend so happy before! They are the cutest couple ever and we are so happy for them. Here are a few [grainy iphone pics] from the reception:
We had a great weekend and we are so proud of our little boy for being the best sport ever!
