Hotel rooms are always cold to me, but this one takes the cake for being the coldest hotel room i've ever stayed in. There were 2 settings: so hot you can't breathe or so cold you can't feel your toes. The first night was a little rough because we didn't bring winter jammies for Caleb, so he had a hard time sleeping. I felt like the worst parent on the planet because he was SO cold! The next day we took a trip home to get his fleece wearable blanket and winter jammies. He slept MUCH better the next night!
Everyone who attended the conference loved Caleb and said he is such a good baby and so calm. I think because there was so much to see and new faces to meet that Caleb was beyond excited to be upset. He didn't cry at all during the entire weekend...such a sweet boy.
There was a beauty pageant going on at the hotel this weekend too....for senior citizens. It was the most precious, hilarious thing i've ever seen. I heard from the grapevine that one of the talents was riding around the stage on a motorized scooter. I am so sad I missed it! Anyways, because of this pageant, Caleb got to meet a lot of "seasoned" women! Now, I know Caleb is a pretty boy, but every single old lady he met thought he was a girl! Poor baby haha. One lady even said "oh he's so healthy!" which means fat. I don't think he's fat, and the charts from the doctor certainly don't say he's fat, he just has a full face and that's all they could see when he's in his stroller.
At the end of the conference, one of the guys decided to get all the men together and pray for Caleb. I loved that idea! Matt held Caleb and all the men circled up and prayed over Caleb to grow up to be a Godly man, to be a pure man, and to do all things to the glory of God. Matt later said he was having a hard time not tearing up. It was a very special moment and I am so thankful for the guy who decided to do that for him.
