Weight: 17 lbs 1 oz (40th percentile)
Height: 25.5 inches (16th percentile)
Head: 45.75 cm (93rd percentile)
We are thrilled that he is now in the 40th percentile for weight! Since birth he has never made it out of the 20-somethings for weight. So this was great news to hear. He is still a little shorty, but neither Matt or I are very tall, so it makes sense. He did however go from being in the 11th percentile at 4 months to the 16th, so that is progress. He still has that big noggin! His doctor was very proud of Caleb for being able to sit on his own, roll over, and hold it up as well as he is haha. She said most babies with a big head aren't able to do those things very well. So yay Caleb!
I told my first lie to Caleb. I feel like such a bad mommy! I told him this morning we were going to go see his doctor (which he smiled very big) and then I said that he won't be getting any nasty shots today. He not only got a shot today, he got stuck FOUR times! Also, this is kind of funny and I feel like this is my pay back, but Matt and I left with bandaids too. We all got the flu shot today. Matt and I felt super funny leaving the office with kid bandaids stuck to our arms. I was sporting a purple one with dora on it, and Matt had a blue camo one. But the real trooper today is Caleb. He barely cried at all! We were proud parents.
We got the okay to begin feeding him veggies, so we will start that probably next week. I am going to be making his food, but I still need to get the food maker. I'm thinking this weekend would be a good time to make his food round of veggies. Hoping he likes them!
Since Caleb is so much more active now than he was at his last appointment, he left the table a huge mess! He would grab the paper with both hands and just go wild with it! Despite getting 4 shots, he had a really fun time at the doctor today haha. He goes back next month to get the second half of his flu shot and then after that we don't go back until his 9 month (!!!) appointment. Which is in December. Which will be here like tomorrow. Ugh.
