Caleb's Halloween Costume

It's Caleb's first Halloween! We've never really gotten excited about Halloween in our family, but since we have an adorable baby now we are excited about dressing him up in his first costume! I always put way too much thought into anything for Caleb, to the point I just stress out for no reason. But really, it's his first halloween and I want it to be special. At first I had the idea of him being an elephant. Since his nursery is an elephant theme, he sits next to a huge elephant every month for his pics and his favorite stuff animal is an elephant. Why not dress him up as an elephant?? So I started searching for baby elephant costumes. I didn't like any of them! So I stopped my halloween costume search. By the way, I started this search back in August. You can laugh.

Over the next few weeks I started noticing that a lot of Caleb's clothes have cute little monkeys on them. One even has a monkey on his bottom, which he then was given the nickname Monkey Butt. The nickname stuck and then it clicked! He will be a monkey for Halloween! I started the search again, and wasn't finding any cute monkey costumes. I was so sad, but I didn't want to give up on this costume idea! I kept looking and looking until one day I found it! It was by far the cutest monkey costume i've ever seen, and it even had the big pillowy belly that i've always wanted our baby to wear someday (it's the small things ya know). I'm so so so glad that a RARE cold front came to Texas this weekend, otherwise it would've been 80 degrees and he wouldn't have been able to wear this amazing costume! So, enough talk, here are pictures of our sweet Caleb in his very first Halloween costume!
