14 weeks



Woohoo, 14 weeks! So I have a lot of books/websites that I am reading, and also a few apps on my phone to tell me what's going on week by week. I check my "baby bump" app first thing every week and it told me last week I was starting the 2nd trimester! Well, it was wrong (I think). I'm pretty sure THIS week I begin the 2nd trimester. Either way, HOORAY for being in the 2nd trimester!

I think it's safe to say I have a visible baby bump now! But I still get confused if it's still bloat or is it actually a baby bump?! Still feels a little pudgy to me (and I ate like a man last night at dinner!) haha :)

Size of baby: Lemon (3.4 inches and 1.5 ounces)

Total weight gain: I should probably start getting on the scale at home right? haha....i'm just going to go by the scale at the doctor's, so still around 2-3 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: I officially started wearing my maternity jeans this week! I couldn't take the tightness of my other pants anymore. I really don't need to wear the maternity jeans, and they are still a little big on me, but they just feel SO GOOD that i'm addicted to wearing them. ha! Today I finally bought a belly band, and i'm wondering where this thing was for all those Thanksgiving dinners in years past?! I'm still wearing all my pre-pregnancy tops.

Boy or Girl? We will find out on October 6th! I will say we have nailed down the names! So exciting! (Yes, we will reveal the name once we know what the baby is!)

Movement: Not yet, most books/websites are saying for first time moms you will start feeling movement around 16-23 weeks. This week the baby is probably sucking it's thumb and wiggling it's toes!

Sleep: Still loving bedtime! It's the best part of the day!

Anything you miss? Nope, not yet!

Cravings? Same ole, same ole! Cheese, pasta and chocolate!

Symptoms: Still having the occasional nausea in the mornings and right before dinner. This week headaches (not migraines) have been pretty bad, and I think i've been more tired this week than at the beginning of the pregnancy! It's probably due to getting back into the swing of things after a holiday weekend and feeling sick because of allergies. Also I've had some "stretching" pains. I'm just guessing that's what it is because it feels like my lower stomach muscles are doing a workout without me doing anything. It's kind of annoying at times but they don't last very long.

Any fears? Still trying to get over the fear of labor and delivery, but it is getting a little better!

Best moment of the week: Wearing maternity jeans! haha! Pretty sure the Hallelujah chorus was playing in the background when I put them on!
