We went down to Houston again this year for Labor Day. I think that's our new tradition, and I love it! This year my sister, brother-in-law and niece joined us, which was so much fun. My niece is at such a fun age, and she gets funnier every day! Here are a few instagram pictures from the weekend of sweet Kaley:
My goodness I could eat her up! Her favorite tv show is the Cat in the Hat, and every time we sang the theme song she would act like a monkey, haha! The reason she does that is because in the opening of the show, there is a little girl doing this funny dance, and that is Kaley's interpretation of the dance! I wish I had it on video...."we're gonna go, go, go, go! On an adventure! The Cat in the Hat will take us away!"
I do have video of her sliding at the park! This was her first time going down by herself, and she LOVED it!! Just look at that big smile :)
Didn't mean for this to turn into a Kaley post, but oh well! She's so cute she deserves one! :) And the weekend wouldn't have been as fun without her.
The drive back home took much longer than it should have. The interstate was shut down twice because of wildfires. It's so sad, and they could have been prevented if people didn't throw their cigarettes out the window. This is what it looked like in Fairfield, Texas.
It was horrible, and to think there are homes right behind those trees! I heard on the news last night that over 1,000 homes have been destroyed due to these wildfires. Please pray for everyone who has been affected by the fires.
