Our local Chick-fil-a has been doing a special promotion for the month of September. Every Wednesday you get a free breakfast with a purchase. I found out about this little promo last week (darn!) so I only got to participate twice. Anyways, today I went to get my free breakfast and orange juice before going to work. Once I was back on the road I heard on the radio that 35E south was down to 2 lanes, this is the highway I take to get to work. Luckily I was coming up on the intersection I always turn on and saw the back up from there! I took a different route which consisted of no less than 10 school zones and a 2 mile TRAIN that was going 5 mph!!! I sat for probably 15 minutes just staring at my free chicken biscuit, I refuse to eat in my car. I like to sit at my desk and enjoy my breakfast. And I wasn't going to budge this time. The train finally ended and I was on my way again. The radio said the accident was at the Beltline exit, and I came up to Beltline road and decided to turn so I could get on the highway to speed things up. HA! That SAME darn train had made it to Beltline, and I was once again stopped. It felt like 20 minutes this time. By now I'm sure my chicken biscuit is cold. But I will NOT eat it till I get to work! I put my car in park and sat.
Here's where the exciting part comes, I felt 2 little thumps in my lower stomach. I stopped for a second to wait for another one, there it was again! And again! I texted Matt to tell him and he was so excited! It happened even more after that, I'm sure it was baby M saying—
"MOMMA EAT THAT CHICKEN BISCUIT!!"
Well, I didn't eat it. I wanted to wait for my comfy chair and desk (and I secretly was enjoying the little thumps!). I finally made it to work an hour later, and ate that chicken biscuit! It was surprisingly still warm and the orange juice was just as heavenly. It was well worth the wait, and I am so excited to continue feeling little baby kicks!
