29 weeks

Merry Christmas Eve!! I figured since it's Christmas Eve and all, it's ok to be a little cheesy with the belly shot this week. :)

It's been an interesting week for me. I know it was only the first week in the 3rd trimester, but I am already feeling the symptoms I had from the first trimester, which is common I hear. Nausea, a little cramping and exhaustion. It's all just a little worse this time around because I have all this extra weight out in front. The nausea isn't near as bad as it was in the beginning, but it's still there a little bit. I'm back to the eat-every-2-hours schedule or I feel sick. I'm really hoping these next couple months will go by quickly!

Caleb is getting a little cramped inside me, since he's growing so fast. He's growing white fat deposits under his skin, and his energy is surging because of it. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in his hardening skeleton each day. I better get to eating tons of yogurt! (I can't stand milk, so yogurt will have to do! haha)

Size of baby: a butternut squash (2 and a half pounds and a little over 15 inches)

Total weight gain: around 20 pounds still. I didn't gain any from the last appointment, all those salads paid off! So now I am on track for the right amount of weigh gain. whew.

Maternity Clothes: All the time for the pants, off and on with the maternity tops.

Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James

Movement: He is rolling around like crazy! I'd say this week I have felt him rolling/repositioning more than kicking. I still feel kicks though and they are getting stronger! They still don't hurt, but at one point this week he kicked so hard my scarf bounced off my belly a little!!

Sleep: Sleep is pretty good once I get in a comfortable position. I am still having horrible charlie horses at night, but they are starting to slowly go away. I am now doing stretches before bedtime....like i'm about to go running...but i'm going to bed. It's weird and funny and I laugh the whole time.

Anything you miss? Bending over, eating chocolate without feeling bad about it, sleeping on my stomach and back.

Cravings? Still not really having any

Symptoms: Charlie horses at night, a little nausea in the morning, exhaustion

Any fears? Not too many this week

Best moment of the week: Getting his nursery set up! He now has all of his furniture in place. We just need bedding on the crib and wall decorations hung!
