Whoa nelly! We're officially in the single digit countdown! I would like to point out that our engagement period was 9 months long. These 9 months have gone FAR MORE quickly than the engagement!! It probably has to do with the weekly picture taking haha.
So, 31 weeks pregnant! I will say I feel much better than I thought I would at this point in the pregnancy. At the beginning I would tell Matt how huge and uncomfortable I would be at this point and that he would have to start driving me to work. Well, yes, i'm huge and sometimes uncomfortable, but I am still wearing heels (shame on me) and most definitely still driving myself to work!
I had another appointment on Thursday with my doctor, and it went good as always. She will always ask me how am I feeling and do I feel movement. My answers are almost always "I feel great!" and "Yes! He never STOPS moving!" Lately i've been telling her about my leg cramps and that I am generally just tired. At the last appointment she said I could get some blood work done to see if i'm low in areas that would cause the leg cramps. The results came back and they were completely normal! So basically I'm having these awful leg cramps for no real good reason. I drink water like it's about to go out of style and doing stretches, yet I still get them. Oh well, we're near the end!!
Caleb is going to hit another growth spurt soon! He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as fat accumulates underneath his skin.
Size of baby: four navel oranges (around 3.3 pounds and over 16 inches long!)
Total weight gain: I gained 2 pounds since the last appointment (which I think is pretty impressive, with Christmas and all!) I still complain to Matt about the weight gain (even though I know it's good at this point to gain) and he always tells me "but you're all uterus!" to calm me down. haha!
Maternity Clothes: All the time for work clothes, but i'm still able to wear my normal PJ's
Boy or Girl? It's a BOY!!!!!! Caleb James
Movement: all. the. TIME! Earlier this week I was getting so frustrated because he didn't stop moving all day long. I'm talking HUGE rolls and jabs in every direction, every minute of the day. That night I was incredibly sore, yet he just kept on rolling and jabbing. It got me worried that he will never sleep when he gets here. He has calmed down a little now and after talking with my doctor about the scares a lot of women have when not feeling their baby move, I felt bad for being frustrated in the first place. I'm thankful for my active and healthy little guy!
Sleep: Sleep is still really good! knock-on-wood :)
Anything you miss? Bending over, getting off the couch (or any chair for that matter) without having help, eating chocolate without feeling bad about it, sleeping on my stomach and back.
Cravings? Chickfila chicken biscuits and hamburgers
Symptoms: still a little bit of nausea and super tired.
Any fears? not really any this week
Best moment of the week: hearing his sweet heartbeat again!

Hello Holly,
ReplyDeleteI'm a new reader. Enjoying your blog. My youngest child just turned 13 months old (1.7.10) and his name is Riley James. James is a wonderful name as I see your son's middle name will also be James. We also used to live in TX (Frisco then McKinney) for about 6 years. Moved to Tucson but I'm hoping we'll move back to our beautiful San Diego in a year or so. Will be stopping by and will be looking forward to seeing your baby come March. Take care.
