Mini "Baby Moon"

On Friday, January 27, Matt and I both took a half day off work to have an extended date day! He took the train to work that morning and I met him at his office to pick him up. He was on the phone with a client when I arrived, so I took a few pics to start documenting the day. (He really hated that I took a picture of him...but I said "it's for the blog!!")



We ate at a cool little cafe downtown where a lady told me "oh you are carrying so low! When is the baby due?" When I said in 6 weeks I thought I needed to pick her jaw up off the ground. Apparently I looked like I was having the baby that night, which got me all nervous thinking he really could come at any point now. I tried to brush it off and enjoy our day!

We were going to walk around downtown but the wind was so strong that we decided to walk around the mall instead. The first store we walked into was Gap...which has a baby gap...which was having an awesome sale....which led to us buying 4 onesies for Caleb. Whoops! They were just too cute and too cheap to not buy though!



Afterwards we spotted a Paciugo, which is the best gelato i've ever had! We used to go to Paciugo all the time, but for some odd reason we haven't been since I got pregnant! It was so good!



Once we were done with the mall we decided to just chill at the lake. We haven't done this since our college years and it was so relaxing. Of course Lake Lewisville has nothing on Lake DeGray, but it was still nice. :)


After spending some time at the lake we headed home to freshen up and then we headed over to our favorite date night restaurant: Cheesecake Factory! It must have been the craving of the night for many pregnant women, because there were a lot of us there! We had a wonderful meal and got cheesecake to go. Which we enjoyed the next day, so good!

We had a wonderful extended date day, or "baby moon", and it was so nice to just soak up the time as a family of two. I hope we get at least 1 more date night before he comes though! :)
