6 weeks!

Caleb is now 6 weeks old and is cute as ever! He is so alert during the day now but also demands my attention all day too. I love playing with him and seeing all of his new expressions, but it also makes showering, making lunch, doing laundry, and sneaking in that afternoon nap a LOT harder! I haven't taken a nap since week 3. If he goes down for a nap it only lasts about 30-45 minutes. And that is just enough time to shower, make cheese toast, eat it, and blow my hair dry. He also will only sleep really good when he is on my chest. Again, I LOVE when he sleeps on my chest, but I also get nothing else done.


I had my 6 week appointment Wednesday morning and my first question was "can I lift more than 10 pounds yet?" She said I can lift anything related to baby, so that means I can finally pick him up in the car seat and take the stroller out of the trunk on my own! That has been so hard to deal with because I couldn't run any errands until Matt came home to help me. I can also begin working out!! I am so sick of being stuck at the same weight! Hopefully now I will start shedding these last 10 pounds.

After my appointment I came home and Matt left for work. I fed Caleb and then we had our first outing together, to my office to pick up the hard drive so I can work at home. I was pretty nervous on the drive there, because I couldn't see him and if he was ok. But of course, he did wonderful the whole way there and back, he loves riding in the car! No crying and slept the whole time.



I can't believe he is already 6 weeks old! Feels more like 2 weeks to me, but also at the same time it feels like he's been in the family for forever. We just love him so much and look forward to more mile stones coming up!
