Tornados and poopy diapers

We had a pretty eventful afternoon today! It all started around 1:30, where a tornado formed in south Dallas. I was watching it live on tv while holding Caleb extra tight. Matt was out at this time and right when I was about to call him to come home, he called me telling me he was on his way home. Thank goodness!

He made it home 5 minutes before the sirens started going off. While I was still holding Caleb, Matt got the closet ready. He brought in the bouncer, diapers, wipes, and cleared out some space. Caleb and I hung out in the closet while Matt watched the news for where the tornado was headed.

Caleb did very good up until the scariest part of the storm hit. We were having some of the biggest hail I've ever seen in person. It was probably 2 inches in diameter and was hitting the roof so hard I thought it was going to come through it! I was hovering over Caleb incase that did happen. At this time he had a big poop, which I was sure it was about to be a blow out. So there I was, changing a poopy diaper on the floor of our closet with the cat watching. Never thought I'd ever say that!

Once he had a clean diaper on, it was time for him to eat. Conveniently the power goes out at this time, but by now Caleb was extremely fussy wanting his bottle! It came back on shortly, thank goodness. So not only did I change a poopy diaper in our closet, I'm now feeding our son crisscross-apple sauce on the floor.

It was a pretty scary afternoon but I am so thankful we are all safe and no damage was done to the apartment or our cars! We are praying for all those who were effected by the storms.
