Of course the snack of choice were the butter biscuits Matt's grandmother bought us when she visited London during the Diamond Jubilee! They love their butter biscuits in London! Yes, they are amazingly good!
Since Caleb can't enjoy the cookies, he played with his teddy bear from London! I didn't let him play too hard with him because, as you can see with the tag still attached, I want it to be a collectors item. It's from the Diamond Jubilee and I'm sure will be something rare when Caleb is much older.
As far as the opening ceremony...I wasn't a fan. The Beijing ceremony was the best there's ever been, so it will be pretty hard to beat that! I kept waiting for that 'wow' factor and I never saw it, except for the fire works at the end. That was pretty amazing!
We had our friends Bryce and Ryan come over and watch it with us, which was a lot of fun! This seems to be a little tradition in the making because they came over for the Vancouver Winter Olympic ceremony in 2010. Their commentaries are hilarious!
