Favorite Things

"These are a few of my favorite things!"

I wanted to jot down a few of the things Caleb is loving at the moment. The toys in the photo are things he plays with daily. My grandpa's sister-in-law made the quilt he's laying on. It's not too big, not too small and perfect for playtime during the day!


Bear— He is loving bear! Matt bought this bear at the hospital gift shop the day after he was born. We love that he is showing interest in Bear. Caleb takes really good naps if he can hold onto Bear. I let him snuggle with him during naps, but not during bedtime at night.

Caterpillar Rattle— This is Caleb's car ride toy. We don't like him playing with anything hard in the car, so this is the perfect toy for him. He likes to get his foot in the hole and sometimes he will put his arm through it and it will make its way all the way up to his shoulder! He also loves to chew on it.

Soft Blocks— I will put one block at a time on my knee while I am holding him and he will swing his arm and knock them off my knee. He's getting pretty good at it! However, 2 of the blocks make crunchy noises and he doesn't like those so much.

Lamb— He got Lamb a few weeks ago at church. Matt's mom is the children's minister and she and Matt's dad bought it for him and gave it to him when we visited the nursery.

Bumbo— I wouldn't say he loves the bumbo, he only lasts about 10 minutes in it before getting fussy, but for those 10 minutes he smiles and acts like a big boy!

Giraffe— Heck, even I love this thing! It makes different sounds, one being white noise. Nap time won't happen without this giraffe!

Elephant— (We're creative with these names huh?! ha) If you remember back to the post about his nursery, you will remember this guy. It was the first thing we bought for Caleb when we found out he was a he! Lately we will bring elephant with us when shopping and he chews the heck out of him till he is sopping wet! Specially the trunk.

Guess How Much I Love You book— My cousin-in-law bought him this book and he LOVES it. Every time I read it to him he smiles the whole time and is so interested in the illustrations. I have it mostly memorized.

The Fish Book— We bought this book (and 2 others) for him for Easter. It's also a car ride book since it's soft.

Sophie— He loves how Sophie squeaks and tastes!

The Paci— The paci is in every picture pretty much...to say he loves it is an understatement :) Bless the inventor of the paci!!
