8 months!

Happy 8 months, Caleb! You are growing into such a sweet and fun little boy. I feel like you have grown so much this past month, learning new things and beginning to be mobile! I think the biggest change this month is your hair, it grew so much!

I'm guessing you weigh around 19 pounds and 27ish inches long.

You are still wearing 6 month clothes. You are finally wearing 6 months pants, yay! You occasionally wear 9 month onesies on cold days because they are long sleeve.

You are wearing size 3 diapers.

You still sleep great at night, but naps are getting to be a little struggle now. You take 2 naps a day, and they last about an hour or an hour and half. If you make it to 2 hours I am a happy momma!

You have 5 bottles a day, 6 ounces each. You have 2.5 ounces of vegetables around lunch time and still having rice cereal before bedtime.

You have tried and like squash, peas, green beans (finally), sweet potatoes, carrots, and pears. We just started doing fruits. Your doctor wanted us to go slow on the solid foods, and boy are we. The only food we've seen a problem with are sweet potatoes. So we are on a break from those.

Still no teeth. But a TON of drool.

 

You are very very close to crawling! You can get up on your knees and rock your little heart out. It's pretty cute! Your main way of getting around right now is by scooting.

You love jumping! You can jump pretty high in your bouncer now.

You are saying dada, mama (but not to us).

When we ask "where is mommy?" "where is daddy?" "where is Caleb?" and "where is Jade?" you will look at who we are asking for. Except for your name of course, you just look at us and smile really big when we ask "where is Caleb?"

You can stand on your own for about 5 seconds with no support! You stand for a couple minutes when holding onto something.

You go from the sitting to crawling position in a split second.

You still love your paci. Especially at night.

You really really like girls. In the nursery at church you are the only boy, so you really get your picking! Last Sunday you held our best friends little girl's hand and kissed her hand! So adorable to me!

When you want to be picked up, you reach out for us. You also reach out when you see us coming to pick you up.

You are taking big boy baths now in the tub. You outgrew the baby tub. Your bathtub is the size of a jacuzzi tub, so i'm sure it feels like a swimming pool to you! It makes it super hard to bath you though.

We had to move your car seat harness to the top level. This means we are getting closer and closer to getting the big kid car seat because you are slowly outgrowing this one. That makes me very sad!

Your favorite color right now is purple. If we place your stacking cups all around you and mix them up, you will almost always go for the purple cup. The same goes for links. It's always the purple one you go to. Kind of funny to me! My guess is because it's a color you don't see much.

Caleb, you are such a happy and easy going baby! We are so blessed to have you in our lives.
