Caleb and I started the day off with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, a tradition in my family that I want to carry on with him. Matt isn't really into the parade like I am, so it was a mother-son morning! Caleb only made it through about 10 minutes before he fell asleep. Oh well, I know he will love it when he's old enough to understand it!
We brought him over to Matt's grandparents in his pajamas. I just think a baby in pj's on Thanksgiving morning (or any holiday morning) is so cozy and sweet. It also reminds me of when I was little and how much I loved staying in my pj's a little extra long.
We changed him into his outfit right before lunch started, and wouldn't you know it...he fell asleep a few minutes before we all gathered up to pray. We let him sleep on the floor in the living room while we all ate and he never moved the whole time! This boy can sleep through the loudest things!
He actually woke up when we all left the dining room because it was too quiet! Since he woke up, we decided to take a few family pictures outside. It was SUPER windy today in Dallas which made the pictures pretty funny. In 90% of the pictures my hair was all in my face, but we managed to have a few good shots.

Caleb looks like a toddler to me in these next 2 pictures. It makes me really sad, but happy at the same time knowing that he's growing and learning so many new things. He loves to stand and "walk" when holding your hands.

Caleb did so well with all of his feedings. He is 100% over his stomach bug and eating like normal. So glad that awful sickness is over!! |

Matt's brother, Mark, snapped this picture of me trying to get Caleb to go down for a nap. He surprisingly kept to his nap schedule today! |
After lunch, we headed over to Mimi and Pappy's house for the Cowboy's game and to relax. Caleb got to enjoy his thanksgiving meal over there (yummy squash!) followed by an afternoon stroll in his wagon. After that, he crashed and took another great nap. He totally understands how important naps are on Thanksgiving! haha
I've learned that holidays are so much more fun with a baby and can't wait for Christmas! I am so giddy with excitement!
